Ladies livin the child free route-what's new?
Tell us all the fun stuff you're doing! Pets, parties, vacations, etc!
Re: Ladies livin the child free route-what's new?
Going to NWW in two weeks for couple of days. Ready for this hot weather to be over.
I don't post much, but I'll participate.
Throwing my girlfriends bachelorette party on Saturday Night.
Heading to Indy the following weekend to visit family.
Leaving for Vegas 9/8, then to Mexico on 9/12. I cannot wait for this vacation - between work and family things - I just want to get away.
Jess H - good luck w/ all things house related.
what did you wind up getting him?
Ha! I ended up getting him an iPad. I decided I didn't want to get him a watch if I couldn't get the one I (he) really wanted, which was $$$$$. I think he'll be excited about it. He's impossible.
The party is at his parents' house and will be fairly big, but nothing elaborate. Burgers/hot dogs, beer, wine and lots of cornhole. Pray for me that the weather forecast stays the same.
Thanks for asking!
Thanks!
The boys are just as handsome as always! Thanks for asking.
DH and I just celebrated nine years together yesterday with dinner at Barbuzzo. It was yummy! I'm still having issues dropping the "original" anniversary and only acknowledging the wedding date. Nine years should be celebrated! And I'll take a nice dinner out with DH whenever I can...
Life is pretty good. I'm taking the day off tomorrow to meet a college friend in Baltimore. I'll be meeting her 10 month-old-for the first time (they live in LA now)...it's been too long since I've seen my friend and it will be nice to reconnect.
Our pup is doing well. She's a lazy bones and we are thinking of adding another one (a touch younger) to our house some time in the fall.
Mr erbur and I have a big race this weekend--it is another half marathon on a trail; conditions look to be good for Sunday's race, as this will be another part of my training for...
The National Trail Racing Championships in September!!! (sorry for the repeat of those that have seen this on FB) The two of us are traveling to Utah at the end of September so that I can run in the Xterra National Championships.
Also looking forward to this hot weather to break, even though I like the heat. I just can't take this humidity!
We are trying to plan something for our anniversary in September- hopefully a getaway for a few days. We are also lucky that our anniversary falls during Restaurant Week, which is very nice.
NQ- I too feel your pain in dropping the original anniversary. We celebrated it for so long it feels weird now when it rolls around. DH and I don't celebrate it anymore, but he did remember it this year and sent me a cute text on the day. For what it's worth, it was 12 years for us this year.
Not much going on here. Counting down the days till vacation and a break from this job. My little Binny is doing well. She got her winter coat yesterday and I can't wait for it to be cold enough for her to wear it!
If I had a bigger house, I'd totally get a 2nd dog but there is just no room for it.
Other than that, I'm chillin...
My little nuggets
I am currently in the midst of the 2011, the wedding year from hell. Planning another shower and a bach party. The end culminates with the Turks & Caicos DW in the beginning November, so the glorious end is in sight!
I just joined another softball team which I am psyched about. Games are at 8 & 9pm which is so late, but I love playing. I forgot how much I missed team sports.
I have another week stay-cation that begins promptly at 6pm on Thursday and I plan on spending some time at my 'rents at the pool and party-planning. I have 6 days off, so I should be able to accomplish that.
we got our dog Oliver, a dog. Her name is cleo (as in Cleopatra, or miss cleo the clairvoyant) and she is a pretty dog. A black small mix and looks just like Oliver's shadow.
its been slightly stressful with a new dog, but we are all adjusting. even the cat.
