Baby Carriers

Which one do you recommend and why?

Re: Baby Carriers

  • I assume you mean for newborns?  I had the Moby wrap and the balboa baby sling, my DD didn't care for either when she was first born, she preferred to be carried in our arms.  I never did end up using the balboa sling, but a friend really liked it.  I've used the Moby a handful of times now that DD is a little older and she's ok with it. I find it hurts my back a little.

I do have a kokopax carrier that can be used once your LO can sit on their own. I've only used it once so far, but really liked it. There's really no strain on your back and it's not very heavy.

  • I have an Ergo.  Love it!!!  I can carry my daughter all day in it.  It is very easy.  There is a front, side, and back carry.  The front hold is toward you-not out.  I really did my research and found this one was best.  I heard really bad things about the Baby Bjorn-it's not good for the baby.  i hought mine on babysteals. They offer them from time to time.
  • I love my ergo. I can even wear by 25 lb, 10 month old and it doesn't even feel like I am carrying that much weight. I got mine on babysteals too. You can get a newborn insert too.

  • I think it was the organic one, I bought it about a year ago. Every 3 months or so, baby steals has them on sale. I think I paid approx ~ $65

  • Thanks. Now that you mention it, I did just see a deal on babysteals in the past month on the Organic Ergo.  Too bad :(  I should have bought it!!!
