Remember my cell phone post?
So today I was out shopping for baby clothes. I went to Carters. There was this woman in the store loudly talking on a phone about Carters baby clothes. I assumed she worked for the store, and was on a call to another store because the conversation was all about Carters clothes. Then 10 minutes or so into the conversation they started talking about something else. This is when I realized that she did not work there, and was just loudly talking. Ha ha ha. She talked the entire time she shopped, and checked out while still on the phone. It was so strange. Then I noticed that there were two other shoppers there BOTH just chatting it up on their phones. I am not sure if this is the norm, and I just tune it out or what. Ha ha ha. I do think it is kind of strange though.
Re: Remember my cell phone post?
Maybe it's because of my days in retail, but my biggest pet peeve is being on the phone at the register. People are so rude.
I almost got in a fight at homegoods the other day. They have the system that announces "Register number __ is now open, Please proceed to register # ___." I was at register 6, and the machine said "Register number 5 is now open." The lady in line stormed up to register 7 and said "The machine is lying! Register number 5 is not open!" The cashier said yes, it is. And the lady pointed at the poor customer at register 7 and said "So what? Is he invisible!?" then realized she was at register 7, not register 5.
She didn't even apologize, just laughed and looked at me and said "No wonder you're looking at me like I'm crazy!" and I said "No, I'm looking at you like you're rude." She shot me a nasty look and said "Stop talking about me."
LOL. People are ridiculous.
So ridiculous - why are people so inconsiderate?! Way to call her out on her rudeness!!
Ha ha ha ha. Hilarious! I love it.
Yeah I see this all the time. I see people talking while they shop at bigger places too....like through stop and shop or through the mall. Carter's is so tiny so it was weird...like I was totally hearing this woman's entire conversation.
yeah that would be awkward - definitely a really small store to be carrying on a conversation!
