How long does your "normal" dishwasher cycle take?
Mine has been running for 3.5 hours. This can't be average. I swear my old dishwasher used to finish in maybe an hour. This is on "normal wash" mode. On "economy wash" it still takes probably 2 hours. And it is still rinsing right now, not just drying.

Yeah, that doesn't seem right. I recall feeling that way at our old place, but I don't remember how, and if, it got fixed. Maybe try googling the model and see if you can confirm the normal wash time.
I would be concerned about wasted water and electricity if something is wrong.
