S and I have 2 free weekends this month, so we are getting out of NE!
Any great US travel suggestions-we would like a direct flight or somewhere with a short layover (so the coasts are prett much out) and somewhere with things to do-Anders will be with us.
Denver, Minneapolis, Vail, and Chicago are on the table, but any other ideas?
Re: trip suggestions
I vote Atlanta. Tons of stuff to do and very kid friendly. The aquarium and the zoo would be great for Anders.
Of course I'm a bit biased
Chicago would be great too!

Memphis, New Orleans, Branson
I do! I do! Sadly, it's not a direct flights from our podunk airport. We almost went to Seattle with our neighbors next weekend, but I'm so sick of flying for 6-7 hours o get somewhere, and S can only take 2 days off.
Actually, DH and I are invited to a wedding in Oregon in September. Unfortunately, I can't go because it is 3 weeks after I start my new job.
I want to go, though!!
What about going NOLA or somewhere on the southern coast (that's not too far, right?)
St. Louis is a fantastic family city that can be done very cheaply. Zoo is free, the botanical garden and science museums are either free or literally only a few bucks for a ticket, and the downtown area is really nice. Hell, you could just go picnic on the river under the arch and it'd be worth it.
Nashville is also very family friendly, but not a whole lot of stuff is within walking distance of each other, which makes things difficult if you're not planning on renting a car. But there are lots of fun things to do.
I vote for Nashville!! I would love to meet your hilarious and adorable baby, and you of course!
But, St. Louis and Denver are great suggestions too. St. Louis is super fun with kids- I grew up there so if you need ideas I'd be happy to give more you more info!
