80's Party: What to wear?
I am usually pumped about themed parties, but this party is for my SIL so I am not excited at all. That being said, I still have to go and I still need to "participate" by dressing the part.
Need some suggestions for myself and DH. Wanting an 80's look for both of us on a budget. Give me some thoughts on "80's" pieces that I can search for at thrift stores or cheaper mall type stores or even items that might be in my closet that I can craft/manipulate.

Anything fluorescent should do.
One glove for your DH - maybe glue some sequins onto it? Roll the cuffs of his jeans (is that what you guys call it? Maybe "Pinning" or "Pegging"?)
You need leggings/tights. It's hard with girls with jeans for an 80's - it's hard to find anything that fits the bill (and that is a GOOD thing)
Blue/Green eyeshadow and frosted pink lipstick.
See if you can find those sunglasses that have the lines in them, like blinds. I think the old Mad Max of Coke wore them.

For you - leggings & oversized shirt. Ponytail to the side. Keds. LOTS of Blue/Green/Purple eyeshadow.
For DH - could do a "tennis theme", sweatbands (head and wrist), I like the sunglasses idea too.
I'm jealous, I LOVE 80's themes! Yes, I'm weird.
