For those with the new iPhone please tell me why I can't live without one.  Rich is getting a small bonus in Sept so he will be getting us both new iPhones.  I've never had one before, so I'd like to know the pros and cons to owning one.

oooo!  i so need this thread.  i can upgrade my phone now or wait til dec to get more money off and i was thinking of getting an iPhone but dont know if that's the best way to go or not compared to the Droid.

i love my iphone.  it is easy to use, works well for me, etc. i cant imagine using anything else.  but i cant really explain why.  i just love it

I love iPhones, but I'm waiting until the next generation comes out.  I had a 3G, and H has the Verizon (4) version now.  Hopefully it'll be September, based on the rumors. 

I have a BlackBerry temporarily, and I hate hate hate it.  ILs got Droids and they don't like them, but that's really because they don't know how to use them.

Love everything about my iPhone.  A breeze to use, download apps, listen to my music, go online, check e-mail, etc.  I had a 3G, upgraded to a 3GS, then smashed the screen by accident so now I'm back to my old 3G until my plan is due for an upgrade.  I still love it.  By the time I'm due for an upgrade next year I believe the new generation will already be out.  Can't wait!!  I am a devoted fan.  It started my mass exodus to Apple products - I bought an Apple when my old lap top finally crapped out on me.

I LOVE the iPhone!!! I swear I could run the world with that thing!  I love that I can get my email, calls, gchat, stock info, shop ect.  Plus never be bored while I wait somewhere because I have 100 games on it! 

Safari is a great web browser and I love that I can just look up whatever site I want!

I also love my Iphone. I have the 3G, I actually bought it the day the iphone 4 came out because it was only $50 and I wasn't sure if I would like the touch screen. I am now addicted.

Do you know anyone with an iPhone that you could ask to hold it and play with it a bit?  I think a lot of it comes down to personal preference, and since it's a lot of money I would get my hands on one before taking the plunge.

Edit: I say this because I really don't like iPhones, and don't understand why my co-workers (who constantly complain about the drawbacks of their phones) love theirs so much.  But they DO love their phones, so you might too!

I do love my iphone, but I've never had another smart phone.  Chris got me one the day after they first came out.  I think a lot of people become slavish to whatever phone they own at the time.  One of my friends who was die hard droid broke his droid recently.  His employer replaced it with an iphone and now all of a sudden he is die hard iphone fanatic.  And I know people that have gone the other way too.
