DH has been in China for almost a week (he gets home tomorrow). And I am seriously SOOOOOOO bored! I am a teacher, so I have the summer off. We were crazy busy in July and now I have nothing really to do. I don't know what I am going to do for the month of September when he goes back to work before the baby comes. Pretty much all my friends work during the day and if they don't they are busy with their own lives. We all got together for coffee yesterday which was great.
Anybody have any suggestions for things I can do to occupy myself? Right now I've been doing a bunch of shopping, but I'd rather not keep spending money
. It's been pretty nice outside, but I feel so lame doing things by myself. I need a hobby!!!
Re: I am slowly going crazy....
Do you cook? If so - start making frozen meals so you don't have to cook after the baby comes!
I'd also take advantage of this time to read.
Or pick a show you've never watched but heard good things about and catch up on an entire season at once....
Or watch some new movies?
I do the following (might not be up your alley, but just throwing it out there)
-Paint/work on or remodel projects
-clean the fridge/baseboards/all windows once a week (I'm THAT cool..not)
-garden
-read
-Work on new recipes
-reorganize parts of our house that need it-master closet, storage space, etc...
-obsessively iron DH's shirts
Maybe go for a long walk with your camera and snap a few shots-A and I do this weekly and we have some great pictures to show for it.

-Read I have the Overdrive App on my iPad and I'm constantly checking out new books for it from my local library system for free.
-Exercise, I run, but any little bit is usually a good way to kill some time during the day.
-Read blogs
-Clean/work on the house, we're going to be selling soon since we are moving when DH comes home from deployment, so I'm trying to get the house prepared for that.
-Watch TV/Netflix Instant Stream, catch up on shows I've missed.
-Run errands
-Research things, for me this includes places we might be living soon, and baby things since that's also on our short list.
-Play games on my iPad, Words With Friends is my favorite.
-Bake/try out new recipes.

Screen name please?!?!? I"m addicted!
That's what I was singing to myself when I wrote the Subject
Thanks for all the suggestions. I definitely have cleaning and organizing on my list of things to do. I've done a TON of reading already this summer. And making freezer meals/getting more organized and ready for baby is on my September "to do" list. I guess I just kind of feel like I'm not being productive...
Same screen name as here!
So I've gotten good at keeping myself occupied alone
Go to the park with a book and a blanket... if it is nice outside. Just enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Read a book on the porch or in your backyard... go to whatever you have locally... like a lake or something... nothing lame at all about doing it by yourself. What do you like to do? Scrapbooking, cross-stitching, crocheting, reading, etc...?
Or there's always Netflix... catch up on your favorite, old tv show....
