Has anyone ever used The Barkshire or Camp Bow Wow for their dogs when they are out of town? I am very particular about where I take my dog. We've used Pet Ritz in the past and have been very happy with them, but I'd like to look into some other options. I recently heard about The Barkshire and Camp Bow Wow and they seem to be similar to the Pet Ritz. Any info/reviews on these places or others like it would be great! I'm in the Rochester Hills/Lake Orion area, but willing to drive if it's worth it. TIA
Re: Pet boarding
Just went to Barkshire and I really liked it. They always knew me and my dogs. Even after one trip they recongized us immediately. Staff seemed friendly and you can see your dogs online. I love their outdoor area which is bigger than any other I've seen. Small dog area is very "home-like". When I went to pick up my dogs one was sitting in the front area on the woman's lap while she worked. If you felt uncomfortable with that I'd mention it up front. I think that might be my favorite boarding facility.
My second favorite is Bark-a-bout in Shelby but I have also used Camp Bow Wow Troy and they are fine.
