I think it was you who had trouble with your SE-350. What kind of problems were you having? I have a similar model and I've been having some trouble the past few weeks. I swear I can hear the bobbin case jumping as I sew and I've had tons of jamming and tension problems. Every day or so I have to take the machine apart and reset the bobbin case. I also can't use my ruffling foot all of a sudden because the machine keeps jamming and "the safety device has been activated" warning keeps coming on. I was just curious what kind of problems you were having.
She's crafty - and she's just my type.
Re: stephm - SE-350?
I had a lot of issues with my machine maintaining tension, even after servicing. Pretty much everything on that machine broke...bobbin notification, needle threader, bobbin winder. Uber annoying.
Try unscrewing the plate and cleaning the area around the bobbin case. Lint can accumulate in there and cause issues. Also try a fresh needle. Sometimes a dull needle would cause that safety device to activate. If neither of those helps, it's probably time to take it in for servicing.
