Just wanted to share some good news! First of all, I got new x-rays and my wrist is healing beautifully. I have been okayed for most activities now, including getting back on my bike. (Just no heavy lifting still - I am working the 2 lb weights).
Also, DH has decided to go to college. He is deciding between nursing, vet tech, radiologist tech, or business. (I know, an interesting range of choices) He basically realized he's getting older and doesn't want to be working in a hot kitchen forever. He graduated high school 15 years ago and hasn't had any college courses, so this will be interesting. I am happy for him though. He will start some of the gen ed classes at our local community college.

Stand up for something you believe in.
I think that's awesome that he's considering nursing. Meghan/tdmd could give some great advice for that field too if he's really giving it some thought.
I give MAJOR props to male nurses, there aren't nearly enough of them, but I always find it refreshing when I meet one. I've never had a male radiology tech either, those fields seem dominated by women. (Though most actual radiologists always seem to be male...weird.)
Great news on both!
Not a spouse or a parent but my Grandmother went back to school when she was around 50. It was tough at first getting back to the swing of things but once she got used to her new schedule of working & classes, she was fine. It was so cute at her graduation when all the kids in her classes stood up and clapped for her when she walked across the stage to get her diploma.

Our area has a lot of male nurses. At least he wouldn't be the only one. Nursing is on his list, but I think he really wants to be a vet tech.
Mrs. Mo, that is cute about your grandmother!
