D.C. Area Nesties
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

Linked In question

I'm not so good at networking, online networking is worse.  Therefore I don't really know what people use Linked In for.

I have a a friend who's having a tough time finding an Exec Assistant job, and I have lots of recruiters as contacts (friend is on Linked In as well).  I feel like somehow I should be able to use the network to let my recruiter contacts know about my friend.  Can Linked In do that?

Re: Linked In question

  • You can send your recruiter contacts a message directly with a link to your friend's profile.  You can send messages by clicking on the the inbox.  This is most direct way.  You can also share an update on your homepage that will be seen by all of you contacts in your feed.

    I hope this helps.
