I am making another "purse/lunch bag"..My first attempt was a success. However, I was told by my mom to lengthen my stich length. I did and it is looking better. However, I am sewing the straps/handles. Both sides of the straps will show in the handle area (hope that makes sense). On the front they look fabulous, but when I turn them over the back is very wonky. Curvy and bunched up. Some places look really bad others look like it is jsut a wavy stitch.
I changed the tension to be a one on my machine to get the front to look nice. I am a new sewer..any help would be appreciated.
It has to be the bobbin..did I not thread it in the machine correctly? Is it not threaded in the maching correctly. I would post a pic but I don't think it would show up as the thread is the same color as the fabric.
Re: Sewing question..
This is a very comprehensive article about tension on your machine.

That article was very helpful. I think my bobbin was not threaded correctly through the "feed". I am going to retry tonight. I am going to change my needle as well.
THank you so much.
