Blessing and a curse at my house. I don't know what I would do without football, September through January just wouldn't be the same and I love it all so much. DH works at a NFL Stadium so it also means I won't see him for the next 5 months or so, due to the busy season.

I love football so much, but I don't love how much Jeff loves...well...obsesses over it. I will let you know when Lions are part way through their season whether or not I'm excited. Hahah! : )

I really do love hosting my football parties though! I am kind of the Bree VanDekamp of the football parties world around here. : )

Football??? OMG - I am so friggin' excited!!

 I did have mixed emotions once the "lockout" ended, and I admit I was sort of like, "whatever". Remember, part of my summer itinerary is hanging out in Westminster, MD (where H is from) at the Raven's camps, which are awesome and open to the public. I didn't get to do  that this year and I was ticked. They did have one public workout at M & T Stadium, and like 30,000 fans showed up - but I couldn't make it that day - Boo!!!

But yes, bitterness over the L/O aside, ya betcha I'm ready for some football!!! Not as confident in the moves the team made in the short off-season, though...I feel like we let go of the heart and soul of our offense, and did not do a good job replacing the talent or the experience. And our OC sucks. And now I'm pretty sure our DC sucks too.

I'll be rooting for my birds as always, but I don't feel in my heart as though we've done enough to help us get over the yellow and gold hump. We'll see...but either way, I'm there!

Dude.....

It's especially exciting because the Lions have a Monday Night Football slot this year on October 10th.  Mike alrady plans to take the next day off so we can watch it next door in their garage with the fire pit going.  I will suck it up and go in the next day - as long as I dont' drink too much I'm good to go. 

Barb, I think they're playing the Bears that night.  Perhaps a little friendly wager might be in order seeing as we had that game won last year...  ;-)

Very excited that football season is here for real, though it caught me off guard... I still have to get Milo outfitted, haha!  I will order his Patriots onesies next week - woo hoo!  I know technically he, as a Jersey native, can be a Jets or Giants fan, but well, he will have to defect later... he was born into a satellite household of Patriots Nation, which in my family extends to California -- I have a cousin in San Diego who is a diehard Pats fan, so much so, he named his dog Tom Brady, lol.  

I am excited that Ochocinco is in da house (though I confess I need to get up to speed with the full current roster)!
