DH's family reunion is tomorrow, and he just told me we need to bring an appetizer. I always do desserts, so I don't really know what to bring. The reunion is at a park with few plug-ins, so something that doesn't need to stay warm would be great. DH's cousins always bring a taco dip, cheese dip with bread, and a cheese and sausage tray.
Any ideas?

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
I'm the same way. For years my specialty was really elaborate desserts and when I deviated, the results were only so-so. I learned to only choose recipes with 5 star ratings from my favorite sites (mainly myrecipes.com), but even then it's not totally fool-proof.
I mean, what are you really supposed to make that's a portable app besides a dip? They can't be expecting gourmet. I mean, if they are, I have an incredible recipe for fig preserves and goat cheese bruschetta

I'm doing this cucumber salsa for our family reunion tomorrow. It's really cheap, easy, and tasty!
ETA: That is the peanut butter dip.
I'm a big fan on "food on sticks" because they're easy to transport and look fancier than just a tray.
Some examples:
Rainbow Fruit Stick (raspberry, strawberry, pineapple, cantelope, honeydew, grape, blackberry - one of each in that order looks like a rainbow)
Greek Salad Stick (blocks of feta, small tomatoes, Kalmata olives, cucumber)
Antipasti Stick (tortellini, marinated mushrooms and olives, artichoke hearts)
I like the "food on a stick" idea. What about these? Maybe trade the dried cranberries for dried cherries? (And skip the nuts) They look good.

That looks good, but I would also do a second option. Either the greek one or a caprese one (tomato, fresh mozz, red onion, basil).
I agree with the second option. Looks like I will be making the apple skewers and the greek one.
Thanks!
Those both look like good choices. Food on a stick is always nice looking and you can really do anything.
