Flying question

On Tuesday I am flying to OKC to get my mom. I am not taking Lyra so I will be taking my breastpump with me. What do I need to know about flying with it and possible milk, etc.? thanks

Re: Flying question

  • I had no problem traveling with my pump/breast milk.  If you are bringing any milk through security they test it, but then there was no problem.  Although...I was traveling with my child so they knew I needed it for him during the flight as well.  I would just call if you have any concerns.

  • Yea, it's not a big deal. They will just want to test it. Also, this may not apply to you, but I was traveling with bottles of milk since I had him with me, and the pressure from the plane made about 2oz from each bottle leak out. So if you have bottles, you may want to make sure they aren't closed super tight so the pressure doesn't affect them.
