LOL...my MIL has only done the "I wouldn't let my child do that" and "he was mine first."  Ack!

My MIL wears a "He was mine first" sandwich board at all times.  It's a huge improvement from the "I worry about him more than you do" sweat-shirt she wore the entire time he was deployed.

And she once told me that if I was going to insist on working, I should at least hire a housekeeper.

The house cleaning stuff is at the top of the list.  Her house is always perfect.  I have 2 kids, 4 cats, and a husband.... and a job....  My house is not always perfect.  She loves to give me "tips" and "suggestions".

I'd like to add #7 to the list.  Never say "you are so lucky to have my son".  It drives me batty.   She also tells me that because "he works and I don't" I shouldn't expect him to help around the house..  Umm...  When I tell her I do work she says things like "well not a real job"...

Seriously?  You get paid to do what you do and you work your butt off, so what part of that isn't a real job?
