Its a beautiful Monday here! My boss called and said to cancel the patients today because she is still not feeling well. This makes me excited because I have a pile of stuff on my desk that I need a shovel and wheel barrow to get out from under it so I'll be able to tackle that today and finally see my desk again! And I'm excited for our dinner tonight of mini turkey meat loaves and mashed potatoes and green beans!
What are you ladies up to today?

Re: Good Morning MN!
The Dogs and Us
I'm hungry but didn't bring a lunch. Maybe I can convince H to go get me something.
I took one look at my dog this morning and wished I could stay home and hang out with him. I told him we've got a three day weekend coming up for Labor Day and I promised we'll hang out more then. I really want a day to myself to clean my house and watch lame movies, but H totally cramps my style.
Today has been up and down already. I barely slept last night, then got up early to take DD to her Dr appt. Nurse called me 40 minutes before the appt and said we had to cancel it, but to come in and get her blood work done at the lab anytime today. So I went back to bed for an hour before she woke up (thank you Jesus she slept in!). DH didn't have to go into work until noon so I was hoping he would go with me at 10 to get DD's blood drawn, but he wasn't up to it. ugh. So we've just been puttering around here and once she wakes up from her nap we'll go down to the lab
I have friends coming over for a bbq this weekend and I need to figure out what to make!
The calm before the storm here. We are expecting 2100 new students to start moving in on Saturday. So much for parking!
Oh yeah and I am writing a paper. Blah!!!!

J is considering doing a short tour. He is not super happy with his current job/location and is trying to do a short tour to get out. His supervisor thinks he is rushing things so they are having a meeting today or tomorrow to discuss everything. I am waiting to hear how it went (if it even happens today). He's thought long and hard about it, so I'm sure they'll approve his paperwork.
Tonight I think I'm making Creamy Chicken Taquitos. We passed Taco Johns the other day and they were advertising theirs, and J said he wanted to buy some frozen ones for dinner this week and I figured I'd try these instead.2011 AthensGAHalf official time: 2:33:31

I called the surgeon when I woke up and have an appointment on Wednesday to get the incision checked out.
I've had a rash on the side of my stomach for the last few days that has gotten increasingly itching. When I woke up today it had moved across most of my stomach. I spent the morning at the walk-in clinic to be told it's poison ivy which I don't believe. It looks nothing like poison ivy and hasn't spread to anywhere else I've touched (yet). I'm bringing it up to the surgeon on Wednesday to make sure it isn't connected or affecting the incision.
My day at work was so freaking depressing.
A couple months back I took pictures of this cute couple and their 2 kids. Today the dad comes in for reprints. While looking through the pictures the guy starts crying and tells me that one of his children got hit by a car and passed away (he was about 4 years old) and this was for his memorial service.

And happy Monday everyone! I just got back from the doctor's office, where I waited an hour and 45 minutes to do a 20-minute non-stress test. Lovely. On the bright side, things are looking good and we have a fun week ahead! Pool, golf, Josh Groban, beach... can't complain.
