Museums: Dallas Museum of Art (Dallas), Nasher Sculpture Center (Dallas)
Kid-friendly activities: I don't have kids, so I'm not very helpful in this area. There's a playground inside the Galleria (mall in Dallas).
Other Shopping (besides malls): I love the Villages at Allen/Fairview. There's a movie theater, restaurants and outdoor shopping. It's fairly new and not yet complete, but still a lot of fun. McKinney square is also a lot of fun.

Most of my picks are in Fort Worth...
MALL : We most often go to Ridgmar in FW because it's closest, but I prefer Stonebriar Center in Frisco

MUSEUMS : The Modern is my fave. We're actually taking the kids on Wednesday, and I'm excited to introduce Jack to a few of my favorite paintings!
Malls: I've rarely met a mall I didn't love...but I prefer low key ones. (Less crowds, more sizes, etc) So, for that .. Collin Creek (Plano) is one of my favs for regular stuff, The Shops at Willow Bend (Plano/Dallas) for higher end stuff. I like Stonebriar Center (Frisco), Vista Ridge (Lewisville), Galleria (Dallas) if I can go mid-day on a week day.
