So, I've never had this happen before, and I'm a little worried.
I don't pre-wash my quilting fabrics bc I like the wrinkled look. I did a houndstooth (black and white) quilt and backed it in crimson fabric.
When I finished quilting and pulled the quilt off of my machine, it had bled onto the machine, staining the entire thing pink.
Now I'm terrified to wash it. I bought Shout Color Catchers- is there anything else I can do to prevent the bleed?
Is there anything I can do to get it off my machine?
Stand up for something you believe in.

Re: WWYD?
I would wash it on cold and use a color catcher. Hopefully that will cover it all. Maybe someone else will have some better ideas? Or someone at the fabric store you bought it from. You could always ask there.

Do you mean that it bled onto itself (the quilt)
When that happens to me, I throw it back in the wash asap and wash it again. That usually fixes it. But that's just me; I don't want you to hate me if it doesn't work!
