Intro

I figured that I should do a quick introduction.  You all have already been so helpful and welcoming.

DH and I have been married 3 1/2 years and together about 7 1/2 years.  I am 32 and he is going to be 30, I am total cradle robber.  No kids, just our dog Doug who is, at times, more work than most kids.  He is bundle of energy and personality.  DH is Philadelphia born and bred and I am originally from New Jersey (right near Atlantic City).  We are going to be relocating to the Worcester area in the next few weeks.

He works in distribution and I am currently in social work, but not sure what I am going to do once we move because I do not have a social work degree, just randomly got a job in the field.  I do have a phone interview on Thursday with an awesome non-profit, so it seems like there might be some opportunities for me in Worcester area.

Other than that, I am a huge Phillies fan and Flyers fan.  I wonder how that will be in Red Socks/Bruins country.

I like the Red Sox but am teaching DS how to say "Goooo Yankees!" just to piss my ILs off. Aren't I mature.

Boo to the BSL.  I think you need to teach DS "Go Phillies," but I would totally do the same adn actually did something very similar.  I once watched my high school best friend's bird who talked.  His whole family went to Notre Dame, mom and dad met there, etc.  So I taught the bird "Joe Pa" (Penn State's coach).  Drove the family crazy for weeks.

  • welcome Smile

I lived outside of Philly for a little bit growing up and went to Penn State for college.

I don't think you will get too much flack for being a Philly fan since the Phillies are NL (we're AL) and the Bruins and Flyers aren't in the same division.  I also have a soft spot for Philly sports due to the time I live there Smile

I am just used to Philadelphia fans who pretty much hate every other team out there.  It can be a rough crowd.

    Yup. NY teams.

Welcome to the board and, soon, to MA!

  • Philly sports fans hate New York teams too.  I think the hate of NY is pretty much universal.  My uncle is a Mets/Jets fan and gets a ton of sh!t for it.

  • Goooo Yankees!

    lol

I haven't felt the same way about the Red Sox since they traded Pedro. Pedro was what got me into them in the first place.

    Oh well.

  • I root for the Eagles unless they are playing the Patriots! Then I have to split my loyalty. Welcome Smile
