Chart Stalkers Come In
I went off BCP last month and resumed charting like I had been in 2010. I know how to do it, but this month I am so confused by my chart, FF is saying it thinks I ovulated on CD 16, but I'm not positive I did, but the temp shift seems to be there and continuing on, so I'm at a loss. I'd like to try to plan for the next few months, but since I'm confused over this cycle, I'm not sure I trust FF's predictions for the next few, even though I know it's not always spot on, I'd like to have some idea. So what do you think, do you agree with FF that I ovulated on CD 16, or do you think I haven't O'd yet and the higher temps are due to something else? Hmmm, if I remember correctly, the dashed cross hairs means that FF isn't positive that you O'd that day. They become solid if more substantial "evidence" points to it. I'm honestly not really sure. Given that this is your first month of BCP, I'd just keep temping and charting and wait to see what the remainder of your cycle shows you.
When I came off BCP my cycles got progressively shorter and shorter for the three months before my BFP so I don't think you would be able to use this cycle to accurately predict your following cycles until your body has more time to regulate itself from the BCP.
That probably doesn't help you much. Sorry.
I think pp is correct about the dotted line. It does look like you Od to me though. Keep charting for a few cycles so you can get more info.
Thanks Lindsay. When I went off BCP last year the first cycle was 29 days and the second was 47 and then it mostly stabilized to being 29-31 days for the following 6 months. this cycle is just all screwy since I had my lap surgery on CD 4 and so I know it has potential to mess with it, but the temps are throwing me off and it's not helping when I'm trying to plan if I can expect AF when DH is supposed to come home for his R&R. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to play it by ear and see what happens...
