No idea? never been or gotten anyone anything for a Baptism. The only thing I can think of would be a savings bond.

Books!!
I'm a big fan of books for younger kids and a toy to go along with the story.
For baptisms, I usually do a piggy bank or a savings bond.
Kohls is fantastic if you want to make this easy - they always have books up front with stuffed animals of the characters. And bonus, the money goes to charity.
Or if you have a Borders closing in your area, that might be good to check out too.
Bath toys are also my other go-to.
For the Baptism, do you have a religious goods store near you? (We have them all over now, but this area is also crazy Catholic.) They usually have a lot of good little gifty things for Baptisms.
Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
I
all of Mary's suggestions. We usually do either a money of some sort for a baptism - towards an education fund or something of the sort. We actually got both of my nieces that exact tea pot set for Christmas last year when they would have been just over 1 year old. I personally am always huge fan of books for kids no matter what the age. I usually throw at least a book or two in with every gift.
