I definitely won't do this everyday, but I thought it could give people some good ideas once in a while. You don't have to give a recipe unless you want to.
What is your favorite thing to make using broccoli?
Re: Ingredient of the Day
Right now, it's broccoli salad.
Chopped broccoli raw, craisins, sunflower seeds, greek yogurt or mayo, sugar
YUM!
i've been on a roasting kick lately - and broccoli is one of my favorite things to roast!
just set the oven to 400*, drizzle olive oil over it, and sprinkle with parmesan. its soo yummy!
I love steamed broccoli with or without cheese. And I like it mushy (but not too mushy).
I also love love love it in stir fry...it's always the bulk of my stir fry since I don't like meat in SF for some reason.
Was going to say pizza, too.
Megan & Chris
my first thought was white pizza, then roasted with garlic or other seasoning...but both of those were mentioned...
I really like broccoli, cheese and rice casserole or pierogi casserole-1 box pierogi, 1 jar alfredo sauce, a cup or so of ham cubes/diced ham, and a box of broccoli pieces...mix it all in a 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 30 minutes...these are both of my menu when we replace the oven! I've never actually made the broccoli, cheese and rice myself but my mom did give me my grandmother's recipe at my bridal shower
this! But also just steamed with a little salt and maybe some butter. om nom!
Oooh- I love doing this broccoli and cheese side dish-
brown a green onion in a teensy bit of veg oil. Once brown, add a can of cream of mushroom soup and heat.
Boil a box of frozen broccoli spears in a separate pot and drain. Add to soup.
Add fresh grated american cheese (the more the better!). stir and heat until fully melted.
Amazeballs.
