Pediped flex vs stride rite?

I want to buy Ava a good, comfortable pair of shoes to wear every day for preschool this fall. I LOVED pedipeds when she was a baby, and have been buying her stride rite sandals every summer and have liked those as well.I have never actually tried the Pediped Flex for older kids, so am not sure how those compare in quality and comfort to Stride Rites. Does anyone have experience with either of these brands for "non-babies?" :)

Re: Pediped flex vs stride rite?

  • We've done both. I really like Pediped better. They're not as heavy and seem to wear better. I kind of feel like stride rite is overpriced considering you can buy the same shoes under a different label at payless.

  • We had a set of pedipeds when C was a non-walking baby.  They were comfortable and really held up well.  Since he turned into a walker, we have had him in stride rite.  They also hold up really well and he seems to really like them.  I've never tried the Pediped Flex so I have no comparison experience but I've been really happy with the customer service at the Stride Rite store and the great fittings they do to make sure I get the right size shoe.
