The Help

I went with my book club to see this movie last night.  We had read the book several months back.  The movie was great!  It's definitely worth going to see.  It was very similar to the book.  Everyone did a great job in the film.

Anyone else read the book?

Re: The Help

  • I read the book last year and went to see the movie on Monday. I thought they did a great job too! They really followed the book and it played out very much like I pictured it in my head when I was reading it. It's not very often that I think a movie lives up to the book, but this one was really good!
  • I really liked the book. Everyone I know so far who's seen the movie has really liked it, even my parents. I'm planning to see it next week. At first I felt kind of blah toward the movie because it seems like every single successful book ever is made into a movie and that gets cheesy to me. But I'll get over it Stick out tongue
  • I really want to read the book & then go see the movie soon, heard it was awesome :-)

  • This is on my list of books to read and movies to see. I'm hoping to be able to read it while I am out on leave, but don't know if I will spend the money to see the movie in theaters (yeah I'm cheap.)
  • Good! I haven't read the book yet but that is next on my list so I'm glad it's good!
  • Loved the book, definitely one of my all time favorites.  And definitely loved the movie.  I went with a bunch of teachers from my school and we all had read the book.  I laughed and cried in the movie, it was wonderful.

I also saw nestie Blossom (Jessica) at the movie!  I had never met her in person but we both recognized each other immediately, haha.

Yes! Lol...it is so awkward to say "Hey, I 'know' you" :) But it was great to finally meet!
