Another week down
What's everyone up to this weekend?
My plan was to make pepper jelly tomorrow and go to a niece's birthday party Sunday. Then I got a text from H this morning that he made arrangements for my mother to watch Alex, and he booked a hotel, so apparently we're going away for the weekend.

This has been a rough week. I have been a facilitator for our district professional development sessions and its been hard. Yesterday I was on a panel for Standards Based Grading and you could feel the anger roll toward you from the audience. My co-presenter and I ended up in tears for a short while. One more day and then the weekend! we are going to look at some houses this weekend so I am excited.

Yay Friday!
We are headed to Mystic, CT this weekend for a little get away. I can't wait! We are bringing Jack to the aquarium and to the beach - should be fun.

We have a BBQ at Jane's school this afternoon as an "end of summer" thing so I'm working from home for part of the day.
Tomorrow we have a friend's kid's 3rd bday party about an hour from where we llive, so we'll go to that.
Sunday MIL comes down for her week stay. Blah.
I can't wait to bring Alex to that aquarium. H and I went last year and it was amazing.

Nothing big on the menu this weekend, a few girls from work are going out on Saturday night and I may tag along if Zac doesn't wear me out by then.

Tomorrow is DH cousin's wedding. Hopefully the weather is nice, but it is calling for isolated thunder storms

Sunday I was trying to get SIL who is visiting for the wedding to meet up for lunch. She wanted to do dinner, but with Evie dropping the afternoon nap, she is a bear in the evening and does not want to be around people. Lunch is easier and she is a happy baby. But no she would rather go shopping than fit into her niece's schedule. You know cauz she has seen her once for a few hours. whatever. she says she wants to move back here to see family more often, no you want to move here to shop since that is what you do each time you visit, spend more time shopping than visiting family. Wasn't going to vent about this. sorry. So sunday no plans. Maybe meet up with some girls with kids around Evie's age for a picnic in the park.

I have a hair appt this afternoon, ducking out early since there are no bosses here. Not too much planned for the weekend. We were going to try to go down to Newport tomorrow morning, but the weather is looking iffy. Also need to start preparing for T's birthday BBQ next weekend. Hoping I can convince him to go look at baby furniture too

Married Bio
I have an interview today (in about an hour!). If I get this job, I will start on Tuesday! DH comes home from a business trip today! This was his 4th business trip in as many weeks and he's been gone since Sun. Dinner with the ILs tonight to celebrate FIL's b-day.
Tomorrow morning-ish I'm going shopping with some friends. Tomorrow evening we'll probably drive over to WI. One of my really good college friends is visiting home from DC and she's having a bonfire. I haven't seen her and her DH since their wedding in May, and DH hasn't seen them since they were last in town (over a year and a half ago).
On Sunday afternoon I'm driving back to WI (a couple towns closer to MN this time) to chaperone the royalty for the festival I volunteer with at the Pepperfest coronation. Should be lots of fun with the girls!

Today is Kayleigh's 1st birthday!!!
We're going to meet Dh for lunch and getting her cake and tomorrow is her little party we're having with two of our couple friends!
How far are you from Mystic? We should totally meet up sometime, that would be fun!

Married Bio
We're a few hours away, but H has family in that area. We usually go down once a year for a big family reunion, but it was moved to Plymouth MA this year (Bummer!). If we do make it down, I'll definitely let you know. I am dying to get Alex down there and pet a shark and to see the penguins (my favorite creature). We went the day before Halloween, and it was such an amazing party there that day, they decorated all the exhibits, had a DJ, food catered, zombie walk, such a blast.

We're ripping up an assload of flooring this weekend and moving all of our furniture so that our contractor can start on our floors Monday. YAY.
I think I'm sneaking away from the madness on Sunday to go to a matinee of the Help with the girls which will be fun.

We had plans to go to an amusement park with some cousins, but there has been quite a bit of drama with a couple of cousins. So - we won't be doing that.
Now we don't any any plans. I am ok with that since football season starts in 2 weeks and we won't have many free weekends.
