Clicky poll: wedding dress
I think we've done this before, but it's slow around here..

Re: Clicky poll: wedding dress
$189 bridesmaid dress in white. We got married on the beach in Key West. I wanted something very simple and as cool as possible. October on the beach in Key West is still blazing hot.
Would I get something different in retrospect? Possibly, but it would still be super simple.
Had we had a more traditional wedding, I would have had a more traditional (and probably way more spendy) dress.
this.
Exactly this. I was giddy about the cost, since we payed for everything, and loved my dress. It was perfect for me.
Similar to TexasSmith.
I loved my dress when I bought it, but I didn't really shop a lot to see what was out there nor had I decided on a venue when I bought it. Since I got married outside, I wish I would have gone with something that skimmed the ground with no train.
But it had great boob support which I really needed. And it was a classic enough style that I am still pleased when I look at my wedding pics.

So Tasty, So Yummy
This was pretty much me. It was a discounted dress for $250.
Crazy Christmas Kids!
This exactly! I think mine was around $1200. For $1200, I should have absolutely LOOOVED it. The saleswoman totally roped me in with the, "I'll give you a discount if you buy it today" thing. It was the first place I looked, and now I hate that I didn't go to multiple places to find something I loved.

it depends on which one you are referring to; the one I wore or the first one I bought.
In a nutshell, Dh and I were planning on getting married after he graduated. Well, the job he got was several states away. I had gotten a gown for our original date of 5/20/00 (@$600) For various reasons we ended up pushing back the date and got married 9/18/04. By that point I had gain 15-20 pounds and the first dress no longer fit nor did I even like it anymore. A local bridal shop does a once a year special of select gowns for $199 or less, so I got the one I actually wore at that sale 2-3 months prior to the wedding.
I still have my original Alfred Angelo gown that i got at David's Bridal...still in the dress bag....still with all the tags and receipt and unaltered. I probably could have made some style alterations to it to made into a dress I loved again, but with the way the train was designed, there really wasn't a feasible way to make it larger. The funny thing was, the first dress was a size larger than the second dress. I guess part of the being able to wear the "smaller" one, was the design.
