**Skittles**

I never noticed your blog until the other day and I think you take great pictures of your daughter. She's so stinking cute.

One question.....what photo editing program do you use?

I have a Canon 30D and really have no clue how to use it. lol I try but I'm not good at figuring it all out. I have photoshop but have NO idea how to use that either. I'm really useful, aren't I? haha

I want an easier photo editing program that won't cost me a ton of money either so I'm hoping whatever you use is just that! hehe

THANKS!

Re: **Skittles**

  • Because Sharon never checks the nest, she uses Lightroom by Adobe :)  Hopefully she'll chime in shortly (I'll nudge her) Smile
  • I second lightroom for ease of use for sure....  price point, maybe not so much.  It honestly depends on just how much you would be using it if it would be worth it or not.  It runs about $150 or so.

If you are going to be using it with any sort of frequency, it's WELL worth it though!  It's an amazing program, and most of the time with what I do, the files never have to make it past LR to go into photoshop for anything.

  • I've heard great things about LR! I am not an avid photographer but I do love taking pics. One day I will have to splurge and buy LR!

    Thanks ladies!

  • Hi!  Sorry for the delayed response!  I have had a crazy weekend, and like Jenn said, I only pop on here when I can.  :)

Thank you so much!  I appreciate your kind words.  My poor neglected blog.  lol  I need to start updating it again.  :)

I use a combination of Lightroom and PSE 8 (Photoshop Elements) for my editing.  I like to do most of my processing in LR (exposure tweaking, color, curves, etc), and then I typically bring it into PSE for just a little bit of extra (I love to add a soft light and screen layer at very low opacity (usually between 10 and 15%).  I don't add a ton of contrast in LR because I love the way the soft light contrast works better.  But that's after a lot of playing around in both programs.  lol  I also do cloning (when I do cloning - which isn't terribly often) and things like that in PSE.  I think LR is very intuitive and awesome for processing though.  I do most of my editing in there and LOVE it.
