XP @ D&R: Bedroom Furniture Help
In case you're bored...
- - -
H and I have been married almost a year, and are just now trying to
decide on bedroom furniture. Our style is rustic/modern, and neither of
us are into matchy sets. After some recon, I'm leaning toward the
following. Do you think these will look quirky/nice together, or should
we just opt for a matching set of one of the three? TIA!
1) Pottery Barn Sumatra II Bed
West Elm Stria 6-Drawer Dresser
Pottery Barn Alden Nightstands
OR... wild card (not terribly modern OR rustic, but I love it)... Pottery Barn Daniella Nightstand

Re: XP @ D&R: Bedroom Furniture Help
I don't know what it is, because I like rustic furniture, but I hate that dresser.
I really like the nightstand and think that the different color/curved shape will add a lot to the room since the other furniture is more boxy.
See, I really like the dresser, but I'm not sure I like it with the bed, and I definitely don't like it with bed + the Alden nightstand. I'm not sure what to put it with instead, though.
I LOVE the curvy nightstand with the blocky bed. I'm really into that green right now, too. We just ordered an entry table in that color.
Update!
We ended up buying ... none of the above. Ha.
On a whim, we went down to OKC's furnitureland, over on Reno and Portland, not really thinking we'd find anything. Went to Suburban first, didn't see anything. Galleria next, and we were shocked by the amazing prices. Given, it's probably not West Elm or Pottery Barn quality, but everything we got is solid wood, not particle board.
We ended up spending half of what we had budgeted, and got a bed, two nightstands, a huge dresser, a coffee table, and an end table. Crazy! I love all of it, and it's such a relief to be mostly done putting it together and getting things situated.
Yay!
