Upgrading to Lion

I was curious to see opinions on Lion to see if I should upgrade.

Right now I only have leopard, so I'm guessing I'd have to upgrade to snow leopard first, and then upgrade to lion.

....but have there been any big issues? Should I upgrade to snow and wait to upgrade to lion?

Re: Upgrading to Lion

  • The only issue I had was with Lion not recognizing my wifi sometimes, and I'd have to go through network diagnostics to restart it. They just released an update last week that fixed this problem, so I haven't had any other problems.

  • I think you should upgrade to Lion. DH and I have been running it since it came out and we really like it.
  • I've heard Lion is having a lot of issues with adobe programs right now. Have you stumbled upon that yet? As that would be a deal breaker for me...at leas until apple got those issues worked out.

  • My husband is an IT guy. He has been busy fixing computers AFTER they've installed Lion. He always recommends waiting a bit so they can work the kinks out on their dime. Otherwise you have the risk of paying someone to fix all the damage Lion did. (assuming you aren't super tech savvy and can do it yourself) Bottom line...I'd advise waiting 6 months and re-posting your question. Also read Mac forums...

  • I have two Apple computers running Lion and I haven't had problems. I am using wired and wifi on both. I would upgrade... if you are concerned, review the support broads to see what people are saying.
