We've been talking about sergers for a while and the other day DH asked me which model I liked. I e-mailed him the information a week ago and never heard anything about it. He's at work this morning and sent me an e-mail asking me to tell him why it would be a good investment. I told him it would cut steps out of the assembly process, which would save me time. More time = more projects. Then I told him it might help him win at Yahtzee (he lost all 5 games last night.. haha).
Then he said he wasn't sold because I have all of these WIPs that I've been working on forever. I told him I've been looking at an unfinished bathroom since March 2010. Ahem.
Now I have 2 1/2 hours until he comes home. I'm determined to get a boat load of sewing done. I'm going to win this argument.
Re: Silly DH
Do you sell your work? When I first started quilting, I kept a tally of how much I spent on supplies vs. how much they sold for. Once H saw the balance, he stopped giving me the side-eye every time I brought a new project home.
Good luck , and post some pics of the finished products, please!
I'm going to try and sell some of it. We'll see how it goes. DH wants me to try to make/sell cloth diapers since I'm already making some for LO. I hate having to turn & topstitch them, so I'm holding out for a serger.
