Please help me choose the right adhesive!

I'm working on some decorations for a book themed baby shower and I've made some library cards/pockets to stick in the front of the books that people are bringing as gifts. (The cards have a place for the title of the book, the name of the giver, and a message to the baby).

I need to find some type of adhesive to stick them in the books-- I will not be at the shower, so it needs to be something that I can attach at home and she can peel off the backing to stick in the books the day of the shower-- basically just a double sided tape. The pockets are about 3 1/2" wide and about 4" tall and I'd like the adhesive strip to be about 2- 2 1/2".

Any suggestions? Thanks ladies!

you can stick it on at home and then they can peel the back off and stick

I'm sorry, the pockets are so beautiful, but can I ask why you're not just affixing the label directly to the book? My kiddo would LOVE pulling the cards out of the pocket and scattering them all over.

Something like that could definitely work! Not quite as wide as what I'd prefer, but it could work-- thanks!

Photo mounts could work as well - you stick them on then she can peel off the backing at home. (I always use them for things other than photos!)

I wanted it to look like a library card and not a book label-- My friend is an academic and I thought this would be a nice nod to her and her shower theme. But as her baby gets older, it would probably be a great idea to have her pull the cards and put them in his/her baby book! (She's team green.)
