Workout Music?

Since I've been working out a lot more, I need some more music ideas.

What are your one or two favorite blood-pumping songs for working out?

I listen to a lot of rap (old school mostly) generally working out, also a lot of Black Eyed Peas. Some of my specific favorites:

- Bombs over Baghdad Outkast remix with Rage Against the Machine
- Hey Mama - BEP
- Click Click Boom - Saliva
- Get Low - Lil John
- Lose Yourself - Eminem
- Country Grammar - Nelly

Re: Workout Music?

  • I have mostly techno remixes of top 40 songs. There's just something about the techno remix beat that would always keep me moving. An "oldie but goodie" (general) techno song that I like to listen to is Sandstorm.

  • I don't know why but whenever Promiscuous Girl by Nelly Furtado pops up on my Pandora station when I'm running I always pick up the pace. That's definitely my favorite workout jam.

I just use the Pandora app on my phone. I either listen to a Justin Timberlake, Rihanna or Katy Perry station.

  • If it's running that you're doing,  jog.fm  has a feature where you can either put in your minute-mile or your speed and it picks songs with the BPM that fits your pace, which I think is pretty cool because I hate running to a song that's just slightly off beat from my running pace, it kind of throws me off. If you're not running, just put in a faster pace like a 8 minute mile and it will throw out some good upbeat songs.
