Accountability Tuesday

How did you do this past week?

I lost 2 pounds.

Minor AW: Someone at work asked if was working out because she noticed I looked thinner.

  • I'm down another 3 lbs. this week, which takes me to 3.5 lbs. less than my pre-preg weight! I have 19.5 lbs to go to get to my major goal of -100, and this time I'm super determined. As long as I don't have a dip in my BF supply, I'm going to keep pushing. Right now I'm just walking every day, but when I hit 6 weeks PP, I'm going to incorporate strength training and >10k runs, I've postponed my half marathon training indefinitely, until I get the weight off. Too hard to keep losing and running distances. 

    After I hit -100, I'm hoping for another 7lbs.

  • I weighed myself yesterday and must still be retaining alot of water. I was hoping for a more drastic drop in weight. I will weigh myself again at a week postpartum.

  • I gained .5 lbs this week. With all the traveling I'm doing I'm just trying to maintain. I don't have the willpower to lose when I'm eating out for every meal. I'm looking forward to wrapping up the travel in the beginning of September so I have time to start working out again.

  • I've been tracking calories & running more consistently, but trying to stay off the scale.

    I had an AWESOME 5.5 mile run Sunday. It was the fastest I've run in awhile & it felt strong & just plain good. Very motivating.

    Congrats!  I definitely thought you looked awesome!  That color you were wearing looked very nice on you.

  • Did we forget to do this last week? I don't remember... anyway, I am down 1.5 over the past 2 weeks. I am teetering right on the verge of another major goal and I can't wait to get there! 

    I just finished reading 'Why We Get Fat' by Gary Taubes and it was excellent. It actually rejects the calories in/calories out idea and talks about the science of how different foods are handled in the body, why we store fat and why we release fat, etc etc. It's a whole different way of looking at things than we are accustomed to, but I found it to be very interesting and useful. I definitely recommend it.

    I'm sure that's it. It took me about 10 days for that to start coming off, and then it did all at once overnight. And by that I mean, I was up peeing about every half hour. But I was seriously like 10 lbs down the next day. CRAZY.

    Last week I was about a pound down, and I've stayed there. I feel really bloated, so I think there's something hormonal going on.

  • I fell off the bandwagon. I'm running behind it desperately trying to catch up... but I made baked brie for book club, sooooooooo... 

    I should be able to get back to the gym today or tomorrow and get back in the swing of things. I havent' weighed recently, but I imagine I'm probably about even with 2 weeks ago. I think I lost a little the week before and probably gained back this week.

  • I've gained .4. I think I'm going to go back to losing a couple pounds one week and then maintaining for a couple weeks pattern that i was in a couple months ago. I've been upping my diet coke intake and not drinking enough water and I think that makes a huge difference in if I gain or lose. I need to up the water not the diet coke!

  • I've been doing much better with eating, though this morning was my first "official" workout in a while. I've been walking/cleaning/running after munchkins outside, so not as lazy as I had been, but still not as good as I could be.

    I actually got my lazy butt out of bed early and did a couple workout videos at home (was waiting on a donation pickup so couldn't get out), and it felt awesome. On a good note, my weight last week was definitely up some from AF, so I don't have so far to go. 

    Here's to maintaining momentum and shucking laziness!
