Re: Tuesday Randoms
You won't! Impossible! (trying to be positive)
I am supposed to have a conference call this afternoon for my little job. It is a review of last year, and planning for the coming school year. I don't have much to report, because my supervisor never got me the necessary materials/proposals, despite the fact that I've been hounding her for 6 months for them.
That's okay though, they haven't sent out the dial in information for the call either.
As of right now. No. They don't want to have travel. Normally we alternate holidays with the H's family (so this year we spend Thanksgiving with my fam and Christmas with his and vice versa next year)
I didn't want to fly with a 4 month old, we were hoping to have Thanksgiving at our house this year. Plus H only gets a long weekend off work, which makes travel to FL difficult.
The potential missed is what bothers me the most. So much that I could be doing with the girls! If I didn't need this job for the resume and the dollars, I'd probably move on. It's like having the perfect thing dangled just out of reach.
I have puppy fever. I was playing with a 4-month Yorkie on Sunday and she was adorable and fun. And my H seemed to like her too, particularly since she was smaller and non-shedding.
Now I'm trying very hard to resist the urge to visit Petfinder.
I know getting a puppy isn't going to happen. But, oh... the fever.
Nice!
I'm volunteering to re-start the convince Kaso campaign.
Ha... thanks. That didn't end well last time though, and now I'm kind of gun shy.
Guys, I'm studying for class...in the law library, as a law student!
My head was swimming a bit after my first class yesterday, so much to schedule and do. I'm hoping that scheduling will get easier when my regular class times kick in next week. This week is orientation--where we have only our legal research and writing class everyday, along with general presentations from the faculty.
Yay!
Well, I don't seem to be having a very good day.
First, my email account got hacked.
Then, my coworkers decided to started making my life (more) difficult.
Now, I realized that some paper that I recently had delivered has another company's letterhead printed on the back of some of it. Uh, what? Way to go, printer! Of course, I didn't figure that out until after we did a big mailing. I think none of the bad paper got into the mailing though. I think.
Earthquake in DC. anyone else feel it here?
I was just trying to find info about that. A couple of my local FB friends felt it. I did not. Did you, GRSP?
I think I did. It wasn't as pronounced as the last one we had, though. My chair (on rollers) got extra wobbly for a moment.
I'm feeling a little ripped off in the earthquake department! Several of my FB friends said it could be felt downtown. I didn't feel it. I didn't feel the last one either.
It probably didn't help that I was already practically quaking in anger toward my print vendor...
I was standing up and felt kind of wobbly and dizzy. 30 seconds later, FB told me it wasn't me, it was the earth.
How did we even get news before FB?!
We would have had to wait minutes to get news, instead of merely seconds.
(I first heard about it on FB too.)

Ha! Nice.
So, apparently there was a very rare, strong earthquake in Colorado last night. The Earth's crust is grumpy.
That's great. They gave you the phone number for the conference call, right? That HAS to be a good sign!
No joke! Progress.
