Who felt it?
Is everyone ok?
I'm sitting here watching the news because the breaking news interupted my RHONJ on NBC.
They're saying that it was felt as north as Martha's Vineyard. They've also said that office buildings in Hartford felt it. However, I didn't feel a thing, and I'm about 20 minutes south of Hartford.
I just think that the idea of an earthquake on the east coast is totally nuts.
Re: Earthquake
This totally funned up my afternoon. At first I thought I was getting dizzy or something, but then I saw Mittens was freaked out too so I thought maybe it was a ghost, but when I hopped on FB I saw it was an earthquake and that was a relief. Nothing brings FB together like an earthquake.
I can't believe how far people felt it. They felt it in Buffalo all the way down to here in Decatur, GA. I don't know if they felt it any farther south.
Now I'm watching CNN. They're very excited over this and it's more uplifting to watch than what's going on in Libya.

haha us Northeastern girls definitely don't grow up with this haha.
my friend who works in hartford said that he office chair was shaking, and cabinets were swaying.
OK, now I'm getting peeved with CNN. Is it really necessary for every reporter to say something like, "At first I thought it was a terrorist attack." That rubs me the wrong way.
Also, "When will the president speak?" Does he need to speak? It doesn't sound like anyone was hurt for goodness sakes. What's he going say? "Hey guys, that was crazy. I was golfing when it happened."
And now they're saying Obama just took a phone call. OMG, stop the presses!!

I agree with you...let the guy take a vacation.
The only time NBC mentioned Obama was when they said they felt it as far east as the vineyard.

I didn't feel it, and I'm ok with that lol. The tornadoes that we get in GA are enough for me, I don't need earthquakes on top of it.
And yes, let the president be. For goodness sake, it's not like the interstate system is cut off and buildings collapsed.
I personally didn't feel it but people around me claim they did. I know the Syracuse area felt it.
It was soo crazy, and (ffc time) kinda funny. People on FB were freaking out. I understand no one expects an earthquake on the East Coast, but...nothing was seriously damaged nor people injured. Wow, that was a long sentence.
And ditto about the President.
