Pat Summitt

Haven't posted here in a while, but I thought y'all might like to hear it.  She's just recently come out and said she's been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers.  So terrible to hear.

Re: Pat Summitt

  • I heard it on the news this morning. So sad!

  • That's really sad.  DH's boss is friends with her and he said that she took the news really hard.

DH's grandmother passed away from this too so he's keenly aware of how damaging it can be.

I swim because I'm too damned sexy for a sport that requires real clothing.
  • I was shocked when I read it yesterday, I've been a fan of Pat & the Lady Vols since I was a little girl because they were one of a couple teams that got tv time in the 80's.

This is pretty much how I reacted also.  Like bronco - I have followed her success and been a fan for a long time.

    This is devastating news.  :(

  • The Tennessee Volunteer family is devastated by this news, everyone loves her. It is so sad. Sad

  • This news rocks the entire sports world, she is a living legend and one of the most accomplished coaches in history!!

I am very saddened to hear this, and my prayers are with her, her family, and the UT nation that they can work through this and her dementia doesn't progress rapidly.   Such a terrible disease, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Coach Summitt is an inspiration to everyone, she is truly remarkable.
