OMGeee! LOVE LOVE LOVE those floors. Where did you get them from? What type are they? Any tips on putting them in? We are going to put down some sort of hardwood/laminate in our new condo. I just love the look of the ones you are putting down.
Re: MrsJaay
Thanks! We got them from Lumber Liquidators and they're rustic maple hardwoods. I think they're 3.5 inch planks.
We actually hired this project out. I feel so awkward having someone in my house when we're so used to doing the work lol. We wanted it done quickly since it covers pretty much our entire living space and I know that we would take much longer and have to rent equipment since we've never done nail-ins. The guy gave us a great deal and he's trucking right along so I'm really glad we used this guy.
He's commented quite a few times about how nice and hard the wood is and how good it is to work with. That makes me feel like they'll be pretty durable in the long run. Where are you looking to put floors at in your condo? Are you getting super excited to go home decor crazy?
We are getting super excited. It is all so overwhelming picking everything out and deciding on colors. We still have a few weeks until closing but I am getting anxious to start working on it.
We are thinking of doing laminate in the living/dining/entry/hallway since these all run together. Then we will carpet the 2 bedrooms and tile the kitchen and bathroom (these will come later). There is also a lot of work to be done removing wall paper, painting, and building a half wall where there is some unsafe spindles. I will post some pictures in another post.
