Have you ever had jury duty and had to stay for the trial? If so, what was it for?

I was called for jury duty but not chosen. I think I would love being on a jury.

Nope.  My name got selected once and my report date was 1 month after I moved from Mass to CT.  So I called and told them I was moving and would provide proof at that time if they needed it (they didn't) and they took me off the list.  I haven't been selected since.

i was never selected, but had to wait downtown all day before they let us all go.  I loved it lol i was only 18 and made friends with a ton of people lol

My luck is awesome.  I have to report to jury duty for the first time on September 1.  I'll probably get chosen and sequestered for the entire month.....

Blah.

I have never been called.  I think it would be very interesting to be on a jury.  My sister has gotten called 3x, my dad was called a few times years ago & DH was on 2 (before we met).

I do not want to repeat my traumatic story of when I was called for jury duty 3 years ago (it it too painful) because I know I posted when it happened. Lets just say, I was called, not chosen but had to stay for the trial anyways.

I've never been called. Drew's been called twice. He only had to serve once, and he was actually the foreman (or whatever you call the lead juror).

I actually went to lunch that day with a woman I met.  She was so happy because she actually had an adult meal without her kids.

I was called once while in college, so I just wrote that I went to school out of state and could not attend.

DH got called in May, but when he called in they said he wasn't needed.  The luck of small towns and few trials.

I was picked last year but the only case of the day was settled out of court

I had to go once but was not selected. It was the most boring day of my life. I was so thankful that I wasn't chosen.

It was seriously traumatic. Alarm that did not go off, Judge being on a power trip (not to mention a gigantic jacka$$) and me crying for a whole day. Remember that QOTD about moments we go back and think about all the time, this was one of them and it still makes me nauseous to think about.

It was seriously traumatic. Alarm that did not go off, Judge being on a power trip (not to mention a gigantic jacka$$) and me crying for a whole day. Remember that QOTD about moments we go back and think about all the time, this was one of them and it still makes me nauseous to think about.
