My Hubband...

My husband's name is Scott. He is 32. We met 6+ years ago when I trained him for a job.

He had previously worked for 10 years at a pet shop and continued working there part time during the beginning parts of our relationship. He knows almost everything there is to know about fish/aquariums/oceans. It's his passion and pretty amazing! I love going to the aquarium with him because he can identify every fish in the big tank and always has a fun fact. Shortly after we started dating the pet store closed. He also left our company and became a project manager at Graybar Electric where he currently works.

He loves to go camping. We have 2 annual trips we go on. One of them is at a national forest and the other is at his uncles "cabin". Both are in NH. He is incredibly accident prone on these trips. One year, he fell over a grill, another he tripped and smashed his face on a rock, the next he hit himself in the knee with an axe and this year, he dropped a rock on his toes I was not there for this year' excursion which was last week. You would think he would learn. I was going to put a picture of his toes, but realized it is pretty gross Wink

image         I have no idea what is going on here but it looks like he is telling a story to the masses!

Scott comes from a family of 9. He had brother who would be my age now but he Passed away when he was 2. It still weighs very heavily on him. His other siblings range from 20-48. His dad is 77 and his mom is 52. His father's first wife passed away and he remarried. He is also an artist! He won a few awards in high school and college (He has a degree in cultural geography and art). His paintings tend to be a little on the dark side but sometimes we can get him to lighten up. This is him painting our neices nursery. imageand here he is with his other neice at his brother's wedding (I love this pic) image He also loves cars. His car particularly. He has a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. I tell him it's a girl car but he won't listen. imageFinally I will leave you with a few pictures of my two favorite boys. image image

We were friends at first. We went to lunch with all our coworkers everday. There was clearly something there. We were both in unhappy relationships. I had an incident with my ex and came into work really upset. We were emailing back and forth and I was listening to some country song. I told him how much I liked country and the emotions put into it and that I wish some body loved me like that. He sent an email back that simply said "I Do" and that was it for me. I went home and broke up with the d*uche bag and the next day he left his gf. The night I broke up with my ex, I was a mess. Scott drove to meet me at a gas station so that I could hang out in his car and sob because he was worried about me driving. We never crossed the line while we were dating the other people but we went on our first date a few days after we broke up with our exes.

We don't currently have anything hanging up in our house. Our walls are actually bare but I am assigning him a painting project for something to hang in our living room. The night I broke up with my ex, scott went home and drew me a picture. It is hanging in my cube at work. I love it.

  • I love the nursery painting as well.  What national park is it that you camp at?  We are trying to broaden our camping horizons and next years vacation I'd like to go to Maine...camping a night or two in NH on the way to or from could be nice.
