My mom was inspired to name me Meghan after reading The Thornbirds. She thought it was so original and unique...and so did like a million other women in 1982, apparently. She did want to go with the spelling in the book (Meghann) but my dad talked her out of the extra "n" because nobody would spell it right. Nobody spells it right as it is anyway, though!
My middle name is Elizabeth, after my great Aunt Betty.

My husbands name is Erik - apparently my father-in-law thought Eric was too common of a spelling. My mother-in-law didn't realize he had done it when she signed the birth certificate because she was so out of it. She was mad when she realized he had changed the spelling from what they had agreed upon.
My husband hates it, because nobody ever spells his name correctly.

I know I don't post a lot, but I thought I would play along. (If that's OK)
My first name (Shayna) my mom got from a book. My middle name (Marie) was my grandmothers name.
That is really sweet!
My parents liked my name. So do I so it worked out.
That's so sweet!
My name has no meaning. I was going to be Lalania, which was a song from the 70's but when I was born, I didn't look like a Lalania so I became Tasha Lalania instead.
My H has his father & grandfathers full name, only they tacked Sage in the front after some hippie friend of his parents who went by "Sage."
my read shelf:
I have a good friend whose husband's name is Christopher Robin.
my read shelf:
I'm the youngest of 5 girls and considered an ooops baby lol because I came 3 years later, my mom was already joining 5Ks lol
They named me Lorie (my mom's nickname from Florencia) and was born in June so I ended up with Lorie June, but a friend started calling me Junie and thats what I got used to.
I have no idea. That's awful, huh?
I know my Mom wanted to name me Savannah, but there was some controversy w/ the name when I was born.. i'm not sure how I ended up named Jennifer.. I think it has to do w/ an actress, but i honestly don't know.
as for DH. no clue.

I'm not a jennifer in my mind either. No one, except teachers call me that. I don't even think my Dad knows my real name is jennifer, lol.
and I am totally giving the side eye for you being named after your Dad's secretary. lol
