Pssst, Warontv, c'mere pretty please
I'm in need of some hair advice. I'm looking for a shampoo and conditioner for my confused hair. Its fine, but there's a lot of it, my scalp and roots get oily after about 36 hours (i'm an every other day washer, generally, but sometimes everyday) and have moderately dry ends. I don't color, so thats not an issue. Halp, please. TIA!
Re: Pssst, Warontv, c'mere pretty please
What products are you using?
I'm a little confused, are you wanting to hydrate your ends and minimize the oil on your scalp? Oil is not bad, you can use a boar brush, and brush your hair root to ends, to evenly distribute the oils. & use a dry shampoo to minimize the shine.
Ahh, now I understand.
Do you like the Redken all soft? Redken is a good line, but for someone who has fine hair, I would think soft hair would be the opposite of what they want (fly aways).
For the oily scalp, MorroccanOil has a new treatment called Oil No More. You massage a few drops into the scalp & it will regulate thesebaceous glands from over producing oil. The benefit of this, is its not a shampoo, therefor your ends will not be "dried out" like many other products will.
I have fine hair, and its really over processed so somewhat dry. I use Kevin Murphy's Angel shampoo & conditioner. It is very light weight, and meant for fine hair. Plus its moisturizing.
For added moisture on the ends. I recommend either MoroccanOil, or Lanza Healing Touch serums. Both are amazing, however I feel that the MO weighs hair down a bit. Versus the Lanza which you can pile on (like I do) and it will not weigh down., or get greasy.
& why do you not line dry shampoo? Have you tried it in a non powder form, but spray? Who puts corn starch in their hair btw?
I like the products you are using, minus the Garnier...I chose to ignore that one! Mousse proucts can be very drying. They have alcohol and butane in them. Those are very drying ingredients. Are you looking for volume, or control in the mousse?
Sorry for the typos and run on sentences. My fingers think quicker then my brain & my phone does not allow corrections. Lol.
Fly aways can be attributed to many things. Sometimes it breakage, sometimes its that the hair isnt heavy enough to lay down. Ive heard from a few people that have used all soft, that their hair is so lightweight it kind of flys away. That obviously isnt your problem, lol, dont ask me why I said that to begin with. *digs hole*
