Squeaky Toys

Charlie the pup has not had one in awhile because he's destroyed all of them, but he still likes to play with their degutted bodies so we've just not bothered to buy toys. I went to the pet store today to get some more cat food for the kitties and they had those long stuffed animals that aren't stuffed but have TWO squeakers in them and they were only $4! So I got him one, holy cr@p. Worst decision EVER. Why did I do this to myself? Now he will not shut up and just constantly squeaks it in my face because he likes to use it to talk. Ugh.

Re: Squeaky Toys

  • Lol! It's like having kids with toys that make noise.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

  • That's kind of hilarious... I'm glad our dog was never super into toys like that. She just wants to play tug-o-war with whatever, or go swimming  :)
  • I'm sorry! I feel your pain as our next door neighbors have a little yippy dog that barks all.day.long. The landlady knows about it and finds it annoying too, but so far nothing has happened about it.
  • One day I'm going to take video and post it. He went for a good 30 seconds at one point. Thank God he's passed out now.

Too much playing with himself. Snicker.

Gigglesnort at playing w/ himself... And totally post a video.

  • I love how much Rustie loves his squeaky toys.  It's a good lesson and practice in my patience as I prepare for a baby ;)

Owning a dog has been like that since day one. I actually grew up with a super OCD crazy dad so I've gotten used to tuning things out and I barely notice it. But last night he was doing it while we were trying to go to bed so that was a little bit annoying. Thank God he eventually passed out...with the thing in his mouth.

  • My dog, Allie Earp, loves squeaky toys so much that she will de-squeak the thing but still play with it. She's destroyed a few toys as well from chewing off ears or eyeballs off of her stuffed toys.
