Sleep

How many hours of sleep do you average per night?

I'm trying to wake up at 430 to work out, but I can't seem to get my @ss out of bed.

Re: Sleep

  • That's because 430 is an ungodly hour. Goodness, woman.

  • I thoroughly enjoy sleep & I require a lot of it. That's one of the primary reasons that I don't have a kid - I'm not ready to give up my sleep. I'm typically asleep between 10-11pm & up at 6 am.

  • I went to bed last night very early - like 7:30 Embarrassed  I got up around 6:30, not because I wanted to though.

On a normal night, I got to bed around 10-10:30 and get up around 6:30-7.

When DD starts school next week, we're going to have to get up and get ready earlier since she has to be there at 8:30.

  • Six and a half hours. I don't go to bed earlier than midnight usually. Four thirty is insane.
  • I wakeup for work at 530, so 430 is the only option Indifferent. I have been doing it at night, but next week school starts. I know it will be to easy to skip working out for homework or baby duty on the nights DH is teaching.

  • I get about 7 most nights. It takes me a while to get going if I get less than 6.

  • I'm a night owl, so even with baby duty, I don't really fall soundly asleep until after 2 every night. I'm in bed, but I'm not really sleeping. M gets up sometime between 630 and 730, then I feed him and put him in the swing for another hour or so because he's still tired but wants to be out in the world. I used to let him get up, but then he just wandered the house with his blankee, moaning and looking/acting like a wee ghost until he was ready to go take a nap and finish his sleep. There's just no point in us both being up if we're both still tired. Hopefully he gets the message that he can remain asleep in his crib til 830 and the world will not fall apart without him before he outgrows his swing.

    So...um... hm. 6 hours, I guess.

  • pre-baby i slept from 10:30-6:30

with BF baby, we go to bed at 9pm-ish, and get up for good at 8am with feedings around 12, 3 and 5:30

we'll see what she decides to do when/if she starts STTN, but I'd love to get at least 11-6 back!

  • About 6.5 -7 hours.  I go to sleep around 10-11 and get up to work out at 5:45.  I usually drag a$$ through my workouts if I get to bed much later than 11:15ish.

  • I like to say that I go to bed around 1030, but it's more like 12 and I'm up at 720 most days. I average around 7 hours a night.

  • I go to sleep b/w 10-10:30 and get up b/w 6-6:30 so 8 1/2 hours on a good night. Like CD, I'm not ready to give up my sleep just yet.

  • My usual is 10:30-6:30, maybe an hour more on weekends. In college I lived on 6 1/2 hours every night and I just can't do that anymore.
  • I should add that on off days and the weekends I can easily sleep 12+ hours a night. I used to not be able to do that, but since I moved back in with my mom I sleep a lot easier and longer.

  • I go to bed at 10:30 and usually wake up between 5:30 and 6.  Depending on what time I have to be at work.
