Sometimes, it is ok to go to bed angry. Sometimes staying up late fighting isnt going go anywhere productive. Talk about it in the morning with a clear head. Also, someone told me dont ever do anything in your first year of marriage you wouldnt do the whole rest of your marriage (i.e. always doing dishes/laundry and not having H help). I dont think that will be a problem for stanley

It's ok to go to bed angry, but communication is key. Don't make a habit of going to bed mad at one another and work things out first thing in the morning! Sometimes it takes time to cool down a bit!

If you could be any character on that show who would you be and why? I would be ?Fei? (not sure how to spell her name) on Burn Notice. She is super sassy and kicks butt and takes names!

Try not to yell during arguments, because as soon as you both raise your voice it's pretty certain to be a huge argument without a quick fix. Just try to talk it out in a regular voice, and walk away to collect your thoughts and calm down if needed.
I thought this was ridiculous at first, but I realized that I yell very easily, and then H just shuts down and doesn't want to talk about it. Plus, if i actually take the time to think about what I'm saying and and word it how I want, I don't end up saying things I don't mean and later regretting.
-Currently Mad Men. True Blood, Big Love and Boardwalk Empire take very close seconds.If you could be any character on that show who would you be and why?

*Go to bed angry. More than likely you'll be cooled down enough to rehash the fight with a clear head. This is what works for us hot heads anyway
*Make time for romance, not like that will be a problem for newlyweds. BUT when kids come, its very difficult to reconnect. There's ALWAYS something that needs to be cleaned, put away, etc after the kids go to bed. Let it go and have some fun!
*Enjoy being married before you have kids. Travel!

Long before I was getting married, my dad told me that the best thing I could do for myself as an adult and eventually a married person would be to respect marriage itself. Respect other peoples' marriages - don't get involved in their fights, even if they're your best friends, don't get between them, help them when you can, and of course - don't get romantically involved with a married person. Respect your own marriage - know that it's something special, but also fragile.
Fave TV show? I watch a lot of educational/documentary type shows. To shut off my brain I watch Family Guy
If you could be any character on that show who would you be and why? I don't really know if I'd want to be any of them
PIP! Fave thing about fall? I love the scents (not these specific ones) and walking into my home and it smelling like pumpkin and/or cinnamon

I have two. The first is from my FIL about jealousy, he said, "If you don't want to worry about people hitting on your SO, marry someone you know that noone will be interested in." H gets hit on all the time (he's a cop, so a good chunk of the time they're trying to get out of tickets) I think it is hilarious, and I can honestly say I have never been jealous.
The second came from GFIL and he said far too many times couples can get into routine and forget to just take the time out to let each other know how much they appreciate them. Even doing something as small as saying thank you after they make dinner, or take out the trash. Just letting them know that you realize everything they do for you can do wonders.
Fave TV show? Currently, it's Doctor Who.

The Georgia Theater is finally open again after a fire that took it down two years ago. The marquee survived and they kept messages up throughout the rebuilding process. This particular note was from the week or so before the re-opening.

If you could be any character on that show who would you be and why? That's a good one...I'd be Lorelai on Gilmore [she's super sassy and a smartass], and I'd probably be Mercedes on Glee [she can be a diva but has the voice to back it up...I wish I had that strong of a voice].

It's OK to go to bed angry. I had people tell me when I got married that it's not cool to go to bed angry...tried that. Didn't work. My mom told me that she'd rather go to bed angry, calm down and talk it out rationally than scream it out for hours and not get anywhere...and that's worked for us. Congrats Stan!!
