Okay, full disclosure, this is my first time EVER wandering over to this board so please don't flame me if this has been addressed before . We're going on vacation soon and just thought I'd get some advice from you ladies.
I've always wanted an underwater/waterproof digital camera but DH says its a waste of money because we'd only use it like once, maybe twice per year. So, he suggested just use one of those Aquapac-type dry bags instead. Costco has the Fujifilm XP20 on sale for $159 and they have a great return policy (90 days). I figure I can always give it a whirl and return if it doesn't work out.
So, WWYD? Buy a camera and if so, which one..or, do the low-cost bag thing? Any personal experience with the XP20 or other recos? If you've done the Aquapac any tips on how to get the best pictures using it?
TIA!
Re: Underwater/Waterproof Camera vs. Aquapac?
honestly when we go on vacations involvoing tons of water like the bahamas or some other beach thing we buy disposable water cameras.. they work just fine.. and they are like 14 dollars
we went to the bahamas a few yers back swam with the dolphins, when on some water rides... pools on the boat , the camera got a little beat up but they put plastic around it was it was fine.. buy a disposable!
