I don't have a problem with squirrels per se, however there is this darling small youngish looking one who insists on digging up my mulch under our big front tree, pulling up the landscape fabric we put down, and burying his goodies for winter. Every morning, I go back out and fix it and every day when I get home from work, s/he has been at it again. Lather, rinse, repeat. I'm tired of it. We even put down more mulch so the edges of the fabric would be further down and it still has figured out how to move stuff around so that it can pull it back and dig.
Anyone have any experience encouraging squirrels to move on to a different spot? This is the spot that we designated for our dog to do her busienss so I know that dog doo doesn't bother it so that option won't work! *grin*
Re: help me banish the squirrel?
Want to borrow Renzo for the weekend?
This website recommends a cayenne pepper spray:

I'd offer up Miley's services, but the darn bunnies in our neighborhood LOVE her.
Way to be a guard dog Miley!
chicken wire does help though and it's easier than you think. Or what about a live trap and you can release him in some other area. far far away.....
I've had success with the chicken wire and the traps.Chicken wire stopped it wear they were primarily digging, but they moved onto a different location that was worse for us.
When you take the little beast though in the trap, try and put it in the trunk or wear ear plugs. They scream like bloody murder and it's so creepy. I just baited mine with a little peanut butter. Super easy.
