Have you all heard that Kelly Rowland song?

It totally grosses me out.  I totally have a horrible double standard between men and women artists - I guess I would expect a song like that from a man but...it just seems like she is desperately trying to get attention.  YUCK.

Re: Have you all heard that Kelly Rowland song?

  • Motivation? Nope, hadn't heard it until you posted here. Then I looked up the lyrics because I honestly couldn't understand a word of what she was saying. Then I closed the window that had YouTube because I got bored.

There's nothing original about it. Let's sing about sex! Yay! That's new, right?

  • Hip hop lover here...lol.  I like the song.  But I love me some bump and grind music.  I see nothing wrong with her singing about sex, and I think Kelly is extremely talented.  This may not be the song that makes her top Beyonce (like that'll ever happen), but I think it's good.  Especially since she featured Lil Wayne.  Now I really love him.

  • Songs about sex are fine. I just don't think this is a good song in general.

Here is my favorite song about sex.

  • I like the song - and I'm a Kelly Rowland fan. Like BoyMom said, she'll never top Beyonce, but I do like the song.

It's totally gonna be stuck in my head for awhile now. Bah.

  • I certainly don't have a problem with songs about s.e.x - but it seems like a desperate attempt to top Beyonce.

And, personally, I think she sounds awful.

  • What's gross about it? I have heard it loads of time and there is nothing offensive in what she says...

Also. Half of the problem is people keep comparing her to Beyonce. They are nothing alike and honestly, she (Kelly) is doing a completely different thing than her. Only thing they have in common is they were both members of Destiny's Child.

To be honest, not a fan of either but I applaud Kelly for attempting to step out of Beyonce's massive shadow... she has a nice voice and I hope she is able to find her place in the industry.
