Is it your IT band bothering you?
I have had a pain in my outer leg/outer knee during my last few runs also. I've started foam rolling my leg and doing glute/hig/hamstring strengthening. I haven't run again since I started this (only been a week and I took it off since I was hurt).
I hate being injured and wanting to run! I hope you are on the mend quickly!
Re: **AllieH**
I think it might be my IT band. The foam roller is a really good idea - I haven't done any of that. I was definitely thinking of hitting the gym tomorrow for just strength, no running, so I'll definitely focus on those areas.
What do you think, are you on the mend? I hope you feel better soon as well!
I do feel better. The first time I used the roller it hurt SO bad but now it's gotten much better. It's more just a good stretch/sore. I've been doing some reading this week about trying to prevent this injury in the future and a lot of it was strength training.
I have pinned some things into my "Skinny Minny" folder on Pinterest and also found the Runners World website to be helpful.
